Since I left QEHS, I continued my studies in science at John Abbott College in Montreal, obtained my B.Sc in Chemistry at Carleton University in Ottawa and my Ph.D. in chemistry at the University of Ottawa. I've been working for the federal government, initially as a scientist doing medical research at the National Research Council and recently work as an Industry Development Officer, Life Sciences at Industry Canada. I have been living with my husband and son in the Laurentians for over 12 years and am in touch with a few friends from home. I completed a B.A. from Concordia University and am completing a certificate program. I work part-time teaching English as a second language and considering either another B.A. or a Masters.
I have been in touch with a few friends from Sept-iles and think of many of you often. I'll pass on the word!

- It's great to read the news about everybody! I left Queenie in October '79 at the beginning of grade 11. Graduated from SAERC in Port Hawkesbury in Cape Breton (1980) and eventually earned a BA from UPEI '86. From 1987-93 I lived in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic as a lay missionary with the Diocese of Charlottetown. Met and married Rosa while there. We moved back to PEI in 1993. We have two children, Daniel (16 and with a learner's permit) and Claire (15). Still living in Charlottetown just a few blocks from the harbor. - My younger sister, Fran, told me there's a website for QEHS, and it's a good one too!! Bravo!! It's nice to see some familiar names and see that they're doing so well. After floundering around a bit, I finally found my niche in law and have been working as a paralegal for the Ministry of the Attorney General for the last 10 years or so. I currently am a Trust Officer/Client Rep. for mentally incapable people for the Public Guardian and Trustee.
- I'll be passing on this website to Pat Batley (Kelly) and Sharon Sanderson (Macleod). I still keep in touch with Heather Murdock too. I recently heard that Gail Fenderson is teaching Spanish at the University of Wisconsin.

- After graduation, I returned to QEHS for extra credits, then worked in Sept-Iles for a year. I then went to Champlain Regional College for a year, then worked in Sept-Iles for another year before getting into the RCMP in January of 1984. I am still a member of the RCMP, and after serving in Alberta, Ontario and New Brunswick, I am now serving in Montreal on the Federal Enforcement Section. I also have 3 brothers who attended and graduated from QEHS, Sydney and Doug in 1975, and Kevin in 1978.
- Sydney works for the Regional Hospital in Campbellton, N.B., and Kevin is also a member of the RCMP serving in N.B. Unfortunately, Doug passed away suddenly in December of 1983 of a brain aneurism.

- What a dandy site!
- A bit of moving around and some extensive academic immersion have dissolved most of my ties from two decades ago. It's great to see that so many of you are well and staying in touch.
- I got swept away by most things Spanish as an undergrad at Ottawa U in the mid-80s and, after a year in Spain, came back and did a Master's. In 1990, I took the plunge and left for the States, Vanderbilt in Nashville, to pursue the long degree. Wound it up with 4 years on the faculty of a small Liberal Arts College in the Midwest (open your Rand-McNally to Wisconsin and look under the staple; that's where I lived). The up-side to living there was being able to visit my sister Ann and her family in a city just two hours away. A few months after finishing my dissertation I jumped at an offer back in Canada and returned in 1999.
- In 2000 I decided I was ready for a new challenge and so moved back to the Ottawa area to scout professional opportunities. I've joined the ranks of the federal government and am happily ensconced in my new home, with my two cats Grizzly and Josephine and a honeysuckle tree in the backyard.

- Well hello everyone!! It's so nice to read about old acquaintances and see who's doing what. Boy, does it bring back good memories. OK, where to start... Well, in 1979, after the band "Tractor" split up, I sold the little blue Toyota Celica and joined the Department of National Defense as an Electrical & Mechanical Engineer (EME).
- Lived in Quebec City for a while and that is where I met Margaret (my lovely wife to be). We got married in Switzerland and lived in Germany for 6 years. Then it was Toronto for 5 and now I live one hour north in a place called Borden. Along the way, Cindy (now 14) and Sonia (12) appeared. Margaret says we ordered them from Canadian Tire and Sears..??
I am now a Warrant Officer working as a Project Manager at the Canadian Forces School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (CFSEME). I still play a lot of music (semi pro) and enjoy it as much.
- In the summer I love to spend weekends boating up and down the Trent Waterway or on the numerous lakes in the Muskoka region. In the Winter, I direct a ski school out of Snow Valley (Barrie) and Coach an "A" division Broom-Ball team.
- I don't climb out of cars anymore, doing 80 Km/h down the winding road headed for Moisie River (Greg Gomez and Glenn Bromley know about that one). I have also calmed down considerably from the days of getting kicked out of all the school dances by Mr. Troy….. so give me a shout!! - I am living in Iberville, on the south shore of Montreal, with a splendid husband whom I've been married to for 21 years. We have three lovely teenagers,Tammy who is 18, Jason 14, and Debby 13.
- I stayed home to raise my children for 10 years then went back to complete my secreterial studies for 1 1/2 years. Afterwhich I got a job as an executive secretary to the president in a figure skating and fashion tight company. This is where my passion for fashion blossomed so I began a part-time bachelor's degree in Fashion Design and Merchandising at UQAM (University of Québec in Montreal). That should keep me busy for a few years!!!

- Heard about this web site from Bill Demeau and after looking through my graduation book, realized that 2004 marked the 25th anniversary of my graduation and I was curious about what happened to everyone. Thanks for the great read and I'd love to hear from anyone who remembers me.
- About me: After graduation, stayed in Sept-Iles & attended the local CEGEP for 2 years - met my husband to be and then moved to Longueuil. Have been there since. I never quite finished CEGEP and wandered onto the work force doing multiple clerical functions until I landed a job at Pratt & Whitney Canada (we build aircraft engines) in 1985 and I'm still there. I'm now a
senior buyer in the Procurement organization.

- Hi everyone!!! Diana Ewing just told me about this site! Wow! Even though hard-headed me didn't graduate with you, (I had to prove that I could do it in French and go to Manikoutai for my last year), it's really great to bring back the old memories. I was in Sept-Iles over the holidays (New-Year's 2001) my first visit in almost 20 years and I'm anxious to go back again - in retrospect, it's a fabulous town.
- I'm divorced with 3 kids, Chantal is 15 and the twins, Jaclyne and Joëlle are 9. I got them to like downhill skiing also. After leaving Sept-Iles, I went to live in Labrador City where my dad had a stereo store. After leaving Lab City, I lived in various places. - After graduating from Queen E in '79, went to John Abbott College and then to Brock University in St. Catharines ON. Wound up in London ON where I was recruited to do stuff (called Human Resources - which is a catch all phrase signifying that you get to see all the BAD management practices and put a positive spin on things) for Canada Post. Travelled around and somehow ended up hitched to Mr.- I- don't- believe- God- meant- to- grant- woman- Mr.-Perfect- guy- but- this- must- be- your- lucky- day. Anyway, still with Canada Post, and now a step-GREAT grandmother of four, plus 2 very sassy cats (I don't know where they get it...). Life is good. This is a great website. - I left QEHS in '79 to move to Nova Scotia. From there I lived in Toronto for 16 years and for the past 5 years live outside Ottawa on a 58 acre hobby farm with a couple of horses, cats, dogs etc. I've been married for 19 years and have two boys 18 and 15. The eldest is going into composing for film and television and is currently building a studio in our house. My youngest has been a working actor for 7 years. He's done lead roles in a couple of movies, guest spot on a bunch of TV shows, Theater and is currently starring in his second TV series coming out in the fall called "The Neverending Story". As for me well I have worked on and off with my husband restoration company as well as accompanying my youngest on tours and sets all over. I have a small company with two partners and we sell employee benefits. I enjoy it and have been in this field since 1984. I was married for seven years, then divorced and now I am currently engaged. I went to Q.E.H.S. until grade 8 and then went to a trade school in Sherbrooke, Quebec for my last 3 years of high school. That was an experience. Then moved to Edmonton right out of high school. I am an account manager for Coca-Cola here in Edmonton (for 20 yrs wow). I am married (12 Yrs) with 2 boys, (5 and 9).
- Hello everyone. Thought I should do a little update. It is (June 14) 2004. I am still working at Coca-Cola here in Edmonton. Also married for 16 yrs with two boys (and a dog named Molson). Time seems to pass by too quick these days. Still have a lot of good memories at good old Queen E. Lots of partying in Lennoxville, and then off to Edmonton. Great website/update!!! ..uhmm... a bit about moi- I joined the Canadian Armed Forces right outta High School in Aug '79 and retired as a Logistics Officer at RMC in Kingston tens years later- I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!! I am divorced with 2 beautiful teenage daughters - Melanie (17) and Chantal (14). I work at General Motors - which has now been bought over by General Dynamics as a Customer Service Representative here in London, Ontario- I preferred it when I was in Field Service - 'cause then I was able to work in the Field (Military Bases) with the guys and drive the LAV's - but I guess they figured out I was having too much fun!!
