Onesimus and Freedom...
"I am sending him - who is my very heart - back to you."
Philemon 12
Onesimus was sent back to Philemon.
He was no longer a slave, and so he was not sent to be with Philemon because of his status as a former slave,
but now to bring freedom to those who were still slaves.
So too we, when we are freed, are often led by the Lord to those very places that we walked as slaves,
not to be returned to where we were, but to bring freedom to those who are still there as slaves.
